how does one obtain an upward movement with the handle to obtain more club head speed? To me it appears to be from the left leg which in the prior two frames the left leg bows towards the target to initiate the downswing,Then it appears the left leg straightens up to create the upward movement of the handle? Any idea?

He actually "chicken wings" pulling his entire left side up. Tiger used to make a similar move by stomping his left leg down hard pushing himself up. Of course that led to 4 surgeries on his left knee. Also, if Tiger was a tad late through the ball his miss was always high and right.

Take a close look at the bottom picture 3rd from the right and you can see the left arm is bowed due to Jamie pulling as hard as he can through impact.
